40 Weeks... Argh!

I was really hoping to not have to post this picture. I was fairly certain that I would be delivering early... but here it is week 40 and Padma seems cozy and happy in her little den of love. :) At my prenatal visit on Monday the midwife told me that the baby felt like she would weigh maybe 7.5-8 pounds. But that I had some dropping to do and that it may be a little bit before she comes out to say hello. I am currently doing some old school remedies to bring on the labor - Evening Primrose Oil and Raspberry Leaf Tea - and hoping that it does the trick. We'll see. I will be one sad Mama if I have to post a 41 week pic next week. By the way, if you click on the pictures, they will expand and you can see them much larger. (Mentioning it because Dave's rough for Padma's mural is hard to see so small - so click on it to see it in more detail.)

Conversations with a Caterpillar

Amy and I are eagerly awaiting Padma's arrival and we've been fortunate enough to have me Mum travel up for the event. She and Amy have been hard at work painting Padma's room and it's looking grand.

Tonight I began working a bit on the mural that we'll be hanging above Padma's crib. The room's overall theme is Alice in Wonderland (for which Mum made a sweet toy box featuring the White Rabbit -- need to post a pic).

39 Weeks and Still Pregnant.

Here we are at 39 weeks, with only 7 days to go until our due date. We are really excited but pregnancy has been slightly less appealing lately. My stomach has succumbed to hideous stretch marks that make me sad, I am really out of breath, but at the same time, my pelvis is really sore from Padma being so much lower now. I can't walk for very long and I can't really do many other active things for longer than a few minutes before I need to sit down. So that's what I do, all the time, sit down. It's boring. Plus, I want to meet my little girl. So, Padma, you can come out and meet the world anytime, darlin'.

38 Weeks

Holy Crap!!!! I only have two more weeks! Well two more weeks until the due date... Who knows when Padma will make her appearance. We'll see! Who knows how many weekly photos of my growing belly we have left. It's all SO exciting!!! :)

37 Weeks

Sorry that this weeks picture post is late, but I have just been SO busy with sleeping, eating, and work avoidance that it just couldn't be done sooner... :) Everything is still going really well. Dave and I have settled on a pediatrician that we think we will be very happy with. It's a three doctor practice and they have it set up in such a way that all three doctors will know us and Padma so we won't get stuck with a stranger in an emergency. I can't believe that we only have three more weeks until our due date. I still love being pregnant - there is nothing like pregnancy to make you feel like a woman - but I am now becoming impatient to meet our little baby girl. I want to see what she looks like and I want to see her wiggles instead of only feeling them. But I don't have much longer to wait, so I am trying very hard to be patient. Dave took this picture of me this evening.

36 Weeks.

Holy Crap!! We only have 28 days left until our due date. I am getting stressed out for sure the closer we get. But I am trying to keep it under control. Ask me how well that's going! :) This picture was taken this morning.

Another Babyshower!

This past Saturday I celebrated Padma's impending arrival with my family and friends in Luray, VA. My sister threw the most beautiful party (seriously - if you need an event planner with style, let me know and I will put you in touch with her!). The food was AMAZING, the weather was perfect, the company was so much fun, and everything looked incredible. The party was really perfect and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves as much as I did.
