35 Weeks

Only 5 weeks to go!! And today I found out that Dave and are having a big baby! Three weeks ago, I had an ultrasound and they measured the baby at five pounds! She is in the 70th percentile for size. If she was five pounds three weeks ago, she's probably around 6.5 now and I still have five weeks to go! Knowing her size literally made me giddy! It makes it all so much more tangible! I am so very excited to meet our little Padma... Here I am today. I am certainly livin' large!

34 Weeks

We took shots of the belly from a couple of angles. She's getting so big. Today she is about 5lbs and 20 inches long - although at this point in the pregnancy, babies are starting to be far more unique in size so it is hard to say for sure how big she is. I can only say how big she feels! I feel her hiccups now all the time which is pretty crazy... It always makes me feel so sad for her because hiccups are terrible!! And she gets them almost everyday it seems. Poor little Padma. I cannot wait to meet her! Dave and I are getting so excited and SO impatient! Only 6 more weeks or 42 more days or 1 1/2 months to wait!!

A Very Pregnant Graduate...

I cannot believe I have finally graduated! It has been such a long time coming. In all, I have been in school for 24 years (with perhaps a few breaks...) I really didn't think the day was going to mean as much to me as it did in the end. It felt pretty amazing walking across the stage. With only a good enough diploma (G.E.D.) taken care of prior to this Saturday, it was the first time I've worn the cap and gown and I am really excited I got to take my little Padma across with me. My Mom, Dad, T-Bone (step-mom), sisters, and even one of my two best gals, Jackie made it out for my big day! I just want to thank my amazing husband for helping me in every way to get this done and to all my friends and family for their support in helping to make this day possible. FINALLY!!!! :)

33 Weeks

I am finally through with school and only have left to walk in graduation this weekend. I am so excited to be through but I am surprised that I have no more energy now than I had before. In fact, I feel more exhausted than ever. The good news is, Dave has been super supportive of my laziness. Probably too much so, really. Dave took this picture this morning. My belly definitely seems to be dropping, as far as I can see. I'm not sure that my due date is entirely accurate. Hopefully it is no more than 2 weeks off. I need as much time as I can get to prepare for Padma's big entrance.

Just call me tons of fun!

Today was my first baby shower in Albany. My good gal pals, Karen and Jen, were so wonderful to throw a party in Padma's honor and it was so much fun. We played games, ate yummy food, opened presents, and had a much needed girly gab fest. It was awesome! The pictures of my fun-filled day can be viewed by following the link below. And just so ya know... it was hard for me to include the pictures of me opening presents because I look like an elephant! But, for your viewing pleasure, I will do anything. ;) One down, one more to go! I can't wait!
